Mark Glazer, Professor of Anthropology at The University of Texas-Pan
American, Edinburg, Texas, is a graduate of Robert College, Istanbul
University, and Northwestern University; editor of the American
Folklore Society Archiving Newsletter; convener of the Catholic
Section of the American Folklore Society; co-editor with Paul Bohannan
of High Points in Anthropology and co-editor with Ikhan Bashgoz
of Studies of Turkish Folklore. He is the Director of the Rio Grande
Folklore Archive at The University of Texas-Pan American, one of
the few computerized folklore archives in the nation. His writings
have appeared in Southwest Folklore, Journal of American Folklore,
New York Folklore, and other professional journals.
